OSCA Collaboration: Providence Free USCF Octagons Tournament & Chess Lecture (Providence, RI)

Format: 3SS, G/40;d5, 6-8 players per section with similar rating
Tournament is 3 rounds. players get 40 minutes each with 5 second delay
Must be a USCF Member to participate. Limited to 32 players
Additional Information
* Ocean State Chess Association is helping to sponsor & promote this free event
* Tournament will be from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
* Anyone and Everyone is welcome to attend the Chess Lecture at 4:00 – 5:00 pm
* Larry Cohen, Associate National TD is doing this to play & direct a tournament in all 50 states
Rhode Island is his last state !!!
* Check in at 9:45-10am on Saturday morning
* 3 Rounds are 10:15-12:30-2:30
* Bring boards Sets, and chess clocks as few will be provided
* Limit of 1 half point Bye if requested in advance
* There is no cost to play in the Octagons
* You MUST already be a USCF member
* Register in advance. Limit 32 players, Not sure how many openings the day of the event
