Format: 4SS, G/30; d5 – 4 Rounds, 30 minutes each, plus 5 second delay
Round 1 starts around 10:00 AM. Finish 2:30-3:00 PM.
5 SCHOLASTIC SECTIONS & PRIZES – Must be Grades K-12
* OPEN Section = Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
* U1200 Section = Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
* U900 Section = Trophies for 1st , 2nd, 3rd place
* U600 Section = Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
* Unrated Section = Trophies 1st Place, 2nd & 3rd Place Medals
* Medals will be given to players for ties or with 2.5 pts or higher who don’t receive a trophy.
EF: Only $25 in advance for all advance entries.
On-site Late Entry the day of event is $5 more, $30 day of event.
Late Registrations after 9:40 AM receive 1/2 pt. bye Round 1. Tournament starts promptly at 10:00 AM
Rated Sections must have USCF membership. OSCA Discounts for USCF membership below.
FREE USCF MEMBERSHIP FOR 1st -TIME UNRATED TOURNAMENT PLAYERS
1st-Time New players (Unrated without USCF membership, Not Renewals) will receive a
FREE $20 U.S.C.F. “Youth” Membership INCLUDED with Discount $25 registration. Tournament is Included!
Must be done in advance. This is for players with no current USCF membership – Not USCF Renewals.
ADDITIONAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
* OSCA President, Frank DelBonis is a LaSalle Graduate “Class of 1983”
played on the La Salle Chess Team – This is a 40-year Anniversary Tournament
* Round 1 will start at 10:00 AM, most sections will finish around 2:00 – 3:00 PM
* FREE PIZZA – There will be a lunch break after round 2/3
* Chess sets & clocks will be provided, however bring a chess clock if you have one
* Byes must be requested in advance. Late entries paired if possible of get 1/2 point bye.
* Organizer can combine sections if needed, but same prizes will be awarded
* Players can always play “up” in a higher section.

* All profits after prizes paid are used to help local chess clubs and schools in R.I.
