Time Controls:
Open & U1600 Sections = G/45+10 = Each player gets 45 min. with +10 sec. increment (Approximately 60 min. for each player)
U1200 & U800 Sections = G/30;d5 = Each player gets 30 min. with 5 sec. delay (Approximately 35 min. for each player)

LOU GIARRUSSO (May 11, 1923 – Sept. 9, 2024) a local RI WWII Veteran and chess player, passed away in 2024
We started this tournament to celebrate his 100th & 101 birthday’s. We continue the tradition to honor his legacy.

NEW RULES
* Cafeteria food stations available w/ Lunch Specials, Salad, Burgers, Pasta, Deli Sandwiches, Soup, Pizza, Ice Cream, Snacks.
* Cafeteria (1st Floor) all food stations available from 11:30-1:00 pm, cafeteria closes at 1:30 pm. Re-opens 5:00 – 6:30 pm.
* Food will not be permitted on 3rd Floor in the Tournament rooms, Skittles rooms, Parent rooms
* Outside take-out food is discouraged, please eat off premises; Home brought food must be eaten in 1st-Floor cafeteria – lounge area
* Players, Parents, and Spectators must clean up after themselves. Parents can use extra rooms with plugs available for laptops
* Student players under age 12 must be accompanied by a parent; No horseplay or running will be permitted by students
* Anyone who breaks these rules will be asked to leave premises and may forfeit match games
