Format: 14SS, G3; +2 = 7 Double Rounds, 3 Minutes with 2 second increment
Round 1 starts around 2:00 PM. Rounds continuous afterward. Done by 4:30-5:00 PM

* OPEN Championship Section – highest level experienced players, $50 EF

* U1200 Championship Section – adults & students, $40 EF
* UNRATED Section – for Novice or Intermediate level students, $30 EF

OPEN SECTION, Overall Champions = $300 – $150 – $100
* Championship Trophies for Overall – 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place
* Class Prize U1800 (Open Section) = $100, 1st Place Championship Trophy
* Class Prize U1500 (Open Section) = $100, 1st Place Championship Trophy
* BROOKLINE PRIZE = $100, Player must have 14/14 perfect score in blitz
U1200 SECTION = $100 – $50, & Championship Trophies 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
* Class Prize U800 (U1200 Section) = 1st Place Trophy
UNRATED SECTION = 1st Place Trophy, Medals 2nd, 3rd Place
ADDITIONAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
* Plenty of FREE PARKING available in REAR PARKING LOT of St. Mary’s School. Enter on left side of school.
* Tournament ENTRANCE is in BACK of the building. Look for signs.
* 5 Minute walk from “Brookline Village” station if you take the MBTA Green Line.
* Entry Fee: Advance Entry is $30 – $40 – $50. Late Entry Fee is $10 more day of event or on-site.
* Advance Registration online by Friday 1/19/2024 @ 11:00 PM. Pre-registration check-in 1:20 – 1:45 PM.
* Round 1 for All sections starts at 2:00 PM. Tournament will finish around 4:30-5:00 PM.
* For pairing purposes only, your highest rating will be used. However, It will be rated as a Blitz Event
* Prizes will be awarded based according to players Blitz Rating.
* Every Players plays 14 Blitz games. Tournament will run continuously after each round.
* 1/2 pt. Byes must be requested in advance. Late entries receive 1/2 pt. bye
* Please bring a clock if you have one, Chess sets are provided
