Time Control:4SS. 6-8 and K-5 are G/60, d5; K-3 and U1200 are G/45, d5; and U800 and U400 are G/30, d5.
Rounds Time:Round 1 at 9:30 AM; other rounds ASAP.
Byes:No 1/2 byes available.
Prize Info:Trophies for top 3 in each division; winning MA student in each 6-8, K-5, K-3 qualifies for state championship finals. (Ties broken by playoff games among MA students) , Medals awarded to those scoring at least 3 points who do not win a trophy, or to any player with the same point score as the third-place trophy winner.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
* Out-of-State Players can play from any state
* $30 advance mailed by 2/26/24; online (PayPal): $30 by 3/1/24. $35 at site.$5 discount to players in Reserve sections.
$15 discount to 1st time players (first US Chess-rated tournament) in Reserve section
* Registration – Onsite: 8:30 – 9:00 AM. Available till END OF DAY OF 3/1/2024.

* Membership Requirement: Current US Chess and MACA Membership required.
TOURNAMENT RULES AND OTHER INFORMATION
* On-site registration cut-off is 9:00 AM sharp. Anybody registering after 9:00 will receive a 0-point bye in Round 1, and will be paired in Round 2.
* There are no 1/2 point byes available.
* No smoking, no computers, or electronic devices other than US Chess-approved scorekeeping devices; site is wheelchair-accessible
* Section eligibility based on 2023-24 school grade. Players in grades K-5 can’t enter the Grades 6-8 section.
* Bring your own chess set, board, and chess clock (if you have one). Items not provided at tournament. 
* 0n site there will be a seller of chess equipment Randi, from whom you can buy chess sets, chess clock, chess books, etc.
* All food consumed in the hotel must be purchased from the hotel.
* Players must be rated 1000 or above, official or live, to play in the 6-8 qualifier section, 800 or above to play in K-5.
* There is no minimum rating to play in the K-3 qualifier section but we recommend that players be rated 600 or above.
