This is an Ocean State Chess & Brookline Chess collaboration Event

Format: 14SS, G3; +2 = 7 Double Rounds, 3 Minutes with 2 second increment
Round 1 starts around 2:00 PM. Pairing posted 30 minutes in Advance, NO DELAYS due to late entries
Rounds continuous afterward. Tournament done by 5:00 PM

* OVER 1600+ Championship Section – highest level experienced players, $50 EF

Note: Must be Rated 1600+ to play in Championship Section
* U1600 Championship Section, $40 EF
* U1200 Section – adults & students, $40 EF

PRIZES $1,300 b/35 Paid Entries Plus Championship Trophies
CHAMPIONSHIP SECTION 1600+ RATING: Overall Champions = $300 – $200 – $100
* Championship Trophies for Overall – 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place
* Class Prize U1800 (Championship Section) = 1st Place Championship Trophy
* BROOKLINE PRIZE = $300, Player must have 14/14 perfect score in blitz = SPECIAL TROPHY
* Biggest Upset = $50 Prize (Championship / U1600 Sections)

U1600 SECTION: Overall Champions = $200 – $100 – $50
U1600 Trophies 1st place, 2nd place , 3rd place
* Class Prize U1400 – 1st Place Trophy (U1600 Section)

U1200 SECTION = Championship Trophies 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
* Class Prize U800 (U1200 Section) = 1st Place Trophy

ADDITIONAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
* NEW POLICY: ONSITE ENTRY may receive 1/2 BYE, ROUND 1 PAIRING DONE 30 MINUTES BEFORE EVENT. 
* Advance Registration online by Friday 5/3/2024. Pre-registration check-in 1:20 – 1:45 PM.
* Round 1 for All sections starts at 2:00 PM. Tournament will finish around 5:00 PM.
* Plenty of FREE PARKING available in REAR PARKING LOT of St. Mary’s School. Enter on left side of school.
* Tournament ENTRANCE is in BACK of the building. Look for signs.
* 5 Minute walk from “Brookline Village” station if you take the MBTA Green Line.
* Entry Fee: Advance Entry is $40 & $50. Late Entry Fee is $10 more day of event or on-site.
* USCF “Blitz Rating” will be used for both pairings and prizes.
* USCF Tiebreaks will be used for Trophies. Cash Prizes are split w/ ties
* Every Players plays 14 Blitz games. Tournament will run continuously after each round.
* 1/2 pt. Byes must be requested in advance. Late entries receive 1/2 pt. bye
* Please bring a clock if you have one, Chess sets are provided
