Danny Rensch recently released his memoir, Dark Squares, about first, his life growing up in a cult as a chess prodigy, and second, about his experience in chess and as a co-founder at Chess.com
The book has been wonderfully received both in and outside of chess circles. While it is not a traditional “chess” book, Danny’s story has resonated with many in the American chess world who have grown up playing club blitz, weekend opens, and US scholastic championships.
Danny will be in Boston on Nov. 5 at Hummingbird Books at 7:00 p.m. speaking with renowned author Ben Mezrich and signing books.
