14DSS, G/3+2 = 7 Double Rounds, 3 minutes each +2 increment (14 Rounds)

Open Championship Section: $400-200-$100, Special Trophies 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Top U2000 Trophy
U1700 Amateur Section: $200-$100-$50, Special Trophies 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Top U1400 Trophy & Chess Book
U1200 Intermediate Section: Trophies 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place, Top U1000 Trophy. Chess Books to winners
U800 Scholastic Section: Trophies 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place, Top U600 Trophy. Chess Books to winners
** Masters Prize – $300, Plus Special Large Championship Trophy. Player must have a perfect score 14/14 (Open Section)
** Biggest Upset $50 Prize (Championship/U1700 Sections)

Open Championship Section: $45 by 12/21 (Early Bird) ; $50 12/22-12/26 (Regular); $65 on 12/27-12/28 (Late);
U1700 Section: $40 by 12/21 (Early Bird) ; $45 12/22-12/26 (Regular); $60 12/27-12/28 (Late);
U1200 Section: $35 by 12/21 (Early Bird) ; $40 12/22-12/26 (Regular} $50 12/27-12/28 (Late);
U800 Section: $35 by 12/21 (Early Bird) ; $40 12/22-12/26 (Regular); $50 12/27-12/28 (Late)

Tournament Start: Round 1 @ 10:00 am
Event will start in time, Pairings will be posted 20-30 min before round 1
Late Registrations may receive (2) 1/2 pt. byes for Round 1.
Tournament will run continuously, finish by 3:30 pm

Additional Information:
* Event approved as the Official New England Blitz Championship Tournament
* Winners of “Open Championship” & “Amateur U1700 Champion” Sections receive New England Blitz Champion Titles
* Blitz Rating will be used. If player has no blitz rating, then regular rating used for pairings
* Only Blitz Rating will be affected (Not Regular/Quick Rating) – Unrated players with USCF membership welcome
* Must have an “Active” USCF Membership required in all sections, If expired, register or renew at bottom of page
* USCF December Rating Supplement and USCF Blitz Rules will be used for the event
* Event will start promptly, pairings will be posted 20-30 minutes before round 1
* Byes must be requested in advance. No more than two 1/2 pt. (1 pt.) byes allowed. No 1/2 pt. byes in 2 last rounds
* Late registrations on Sat. 12/27 (day before) & Sun. 12/28 (day of event) pay extra $15 EF in all sections
* Late entries after 9:30 -9:40 a.m., may receive 1/2 pt. byes or be paired if possible
* Registered players who arrive late after the start of tournament may receive a forfeit for rounds 1 or 2
* Tournament starts @ 10:00 am. runs continuously, finished by 3:00 – 3:30 pm
* Plenty of parking available. Chess sets and clocks will be provided.
* Electronic DGT Boards displayed on TV screens for Top boards in Open Championship Section
