OSCA Board of Directors Election July 15-21, 2025
Type of Voting: Online Ballot
The Ocean State Chess Association (OSCA) is excited to announce that online elections for our Board of Directors will occur this summer, from July 15th through July 21st. The voting will occur online. We are looking for interested individuals to put themselves forward for nomination to run for the Board.
Want to Run for the Board? – Submit a Petition by June 22, 2025 (See link below)
To appear on the ballot, you must:
- Be a Voting Member in good standing
- Have played or directed in 4 or more OSCA tournaments in the past year
- Submit a petition form with 5 names from other voting members who support your candidacy
- Submit Candidacy Petition Form by June 22nd, 2025.
- Be willing to serve for 2 years (July 2025- July 2027).
Who Can Vote?
Per our bylaws, Voting Members are those who:
- Have participated, played in, or helped run at least two OSCA tournaments in the past two years
- Your USCF membership is registered as a Rhode Island player.
