3rd Classical High School Chess Tournament

Scholastic Tournament at Providence’s Premier High School

Format: 4SS, G/30; d5 – 4 Rounds: 10:00 AM, 11:00 PM, 12:15 PM, 1:30 PM

• OPEN Section (USCF RATED)
• U1000 Section (USCF RATED)
• INTERMEDIATE /NOVICE Section (UNRATED)

Trophies will be awarded to the top three players in each section. All players with 2.5 pts or more will receive medals

Round 1 of Tournament will Start at 10:00 AM, will Finish around 2:30 PM

• Entry Fee: Advance Entry is $20. On-site Day of Event Entry Fee $25.00.
• Register here online by 01/06/2023. Pre-registration check-in from 9:20 – 9:55 AM.
• Students can always play “up” in a higher section
• Scholarships are available (Free Entry Fee) please email Ocean State Chess Association
• Byes must be requested in advance. Tournament will run continuous after each round.
• Please park in Rear of building (Near Tennis Courts) Look for signs. Plenty of parking available.
• Pizza place “Nice Slice” located across the street, Burger King & other restaurants nearby
• Chess sets will be provided. Please bring a chess clock if you have one.

USCF membership required to play in “Rated” sections. No USCF membership required in “Unrated” sections
