FIDE now requires at least one Swiss System (at least 40 players) norm to obtain a title. Other Sections, Mar 28-31 or 29-31: 7SS, 40/80, SD/30, d30 (3-day option, rds 1-2 G/60, d10). U2200 & U2000 40/80 games are FIDE rated.

Mixed doubles: male/female combined 2-player team scores among all sections: $1000-600-400. Must average under 2200; may play in different sections; register (no extra fee) before both begin round 2. Rounds 8-9 in Open not counted towards doubles. Teams including an unr limited to $400 prize.
Prize limits: 1) Players with under 26 lifetime games rated as of March 2024 official limited to $600 in U1100, $1000 U1400, $1400 U1600 or $1800 U1800. Games rated too late for March 2024 list not counted. 2) Unrated limits: U1100 $200, U1400 $400, U1600 $600, U1800 $800. 3) If any post-event Regular OTB or Regular Online rating posted 3/25/23-3/25/24 was more than 40 points over section maximum, prize limit $500. 4) Balance of limited prize goes to the next player(s) in line.

Open Section: Entry fee $500 more to US players not FIDE rated 2000/over. GMs, foreign IMs/WGMs in Open: free (must re-confirm participation by 3/26). US IMs/WGMs & FIDE rated foreign players $100 less. Players with federation “FID” are not foreign players.
Open minimum prize guarantees to players who enter online by 3/13 and play all 9 games with no byes: Foreign GM $1000, foreign IM/WGM $500. Players with federation “FID” are not foreign players.
Under 1100 Section entry fee: All $80 less.
Seniors 65/over in U1400 or above: All $80 less.
CSCA members: Online EF $4 less.
Re-entry $100; no re-entry from Open Section to Open Section.

PLAYERS MAY NOT POSSESS CELLPHONES DURING PLAY. Please leave your phone home, or in your hotel room or car, or in a bag at your table.
For all tournaments, adjusted FIDE or foreign ratings, if higher than USCF, may be used. Players must disclose FIDE or foreign ratings when entering, or may later be expelled. Other over the board ratings such as club, league, scholastic, state or province, etc, adjusted if appropriate, may be used at our discretion if above USCF. No rating below the latest official USCF rating, on the list corresponding to the ending date of the tournament, will be used.
