Format: 4SS, G/30; d5 – 4 Rounds. 30 minutes each, 5 second delay.
Round 1 starts around 10:00 PM

SECTIONS & PRIZES 
* OPEN = Special Championship Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
* U1600 = Special Championship Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
* U1000 = Special Championship Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
* U600 = Special Championship Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place
* UNRATED (Unrated Fun Games) No USCF = Special Trophy for 1st, Medals for 2nd & 3rd

Special Trophies will be awarded for this event

Round Times & Information
* Round 1 will start at 10:00 PM and run continuous
* Lower sections finish around 2:30 pm. Higher sections around 3:00-3:30 pm.
* Players who arrive late after the start of Round 1 will receive a 1/2 pt. bye or may be paired with late arrivals.
* Byes must be requested in advance before start of tournament.
* New Policy: On-site entries must register 20 minutes before (9:40 AM) Round 1 or risk 1/2 point bye
* Please register in advance by 10/11/2024. Late or On-site entry or day of event is $5 more.

* 1st-TIME STUDENT TOURNAMENT DISCOUNT = $30 INCLUDES FREE USCF “YOUTH” MEMBERSHIP WORTH $20 (No USCF renewals. must be new USCF Membership done in advance, not on-site, must play in either U600 & U1000 Sections)

* Event at Newly renovated Barrington High School (Renovations 2017-2024)
* Plenty of Parking
* Proceeds help school chess clubs and scholastic chess in Rhode Island
* Chess sets provided. Bring a clock if you have one.
* Anyone can play in a higher section
* Late Entries will receive 1/2 pt. bye or be paired if possible

Max Malyuta (1981-2007) was a chess coach at Barrington High School
when he passed away at age 25 from Meningitis. He was beloved by the R.I. Chess community.
