* ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS TOURNAMENT WILL GO TOWARD HELPING SCHOOL CHESS CLUBS IN RHODE ISLAND
Format: 4SS, G/30;+5 – 4 Rounds. 30 minutes each, 5 second increment.
Round 1 starts around 10:00 AM
SECTIONS
* OPEN = Special Championship Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
* U1700 = Special Championship Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
* U1200 = Special Championship Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
* U800 = Special Championship Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place

Entry Fees (Donation)
U1200 & 800 Sections: $30 advanced entry
OPEN & U1700 Sections: $35 advance entry
Late Entry the DAY OF THE EVENT is $5 more
Round Times & Information
* Round 1 will start at 10:00 AM and run continuous
* Lower sections finish around 3:00 -3:30 pm. Higher sections around 4:00-4:30 pm.
* Players who arrive late after the start of Round 1 will receive a 1/2 pt. bye or may be paired with late arrivals.
* Byes must be requested in advance before start of tournament.
* On-site entries must register 20 minutes before (9:40 AM) Round 1 or risk 1/2 point bye
* Please register in advance by 10/11/2026. Late or On-site entry or day of event is $5 more.

* 1st-TIME STUDENT DISCOUNT (Age 3-18) = $44 Registration Includes a FREE $24 USCF “Youth” Membership
* 1st-TIME YOUNG ADULT DISCOUNT (Age 19-23) = $53 Registration, Includes FREE $33 USCF “Young Adult” Membership
* 1st-TIME ADULT DISCOUNT (Age 24-64) = $74 Registration, Includes FREE $54 USCF “Adult” Membership
* 1st-TIME SENIOR DISCOUNT (Age 65-99) = $68 Registration, Includes FREE $48 USCF “Senior” Membership

Max Malyuta (1981-2007) from Pawtucket, RI was a chess coach and beloved chess player.
when he passed away at age 25 from Meningitis. He was beloved by the R.I. Chess community.
