LOU GIARRUSSO (May 11, 1923 – Sept. 9, 2024) a local RI WWII Veteran and chess player, passed away in 2024
We started this tournament in 2023 & 2024 to celebrate his 100th & 101st birthdays. We continue the tradition to honor his legacy.

* Plenty of Parking Available. Go to rear entrances to La Salle Academy.
* Tournament Entrance: Go to REAR Parking Lot, to Shea Science Center (Photo Above)
* Free Pizza & Drinks for lunch, players can bring their own lunch if needed.
* Tournament will run continuous with a short lunch break
* Chess Sets & Chess Clocks will be provided. Please bring your own set to analyze or play for fun.
* Late Entries will receive 1/2 pt. bye or be paired if possible
* Student players under age 12 must be accompanied by a parent
