1st Barrington Chess Tournament – NEW Adult & Scholastic Sections – $250 PRIZES plus TROPHIES

Format: 4SS, G/30; d5 – 4 Rounds: Round 1 starts around 10:00 AM. Rounds will be continuous afterward
SECTIONS (ALL USCF RATED)
* U2200 / OPEN Section – Adults & Highest level experienced players
* U1500 Section – Adults & High level students
* U1000 Section – for students Intermediate level Gr. K-12
* U600 Section – for students Gr. K-8, Novice / 1st time players USCF Membership included
PRIZES
* U2200 / OPEN = $150 b/10 paid entries – 1st Place = $100; 2nd Place = $50;
* U1500 = $100 b/10 paid entries – 1st Place $65 plus Trophy; 2nd Place $35;
* U1000 = Trophies will be awarded to top 3 players
* U600 = Trophies will be awarded to Top 3 players
* FREE USCF MEMBERSHIP FOR 1st -TIME UNRATED TOURNAMENT PLAYERS
1st-Time Players (Unrated without USCF membership) will receive a FREE USCF $20 “Youth” membership included w/ $20 registration.

ADDITIONAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
Entry Fee: Advance Entry is $20. On-site Day of Event Entry Fee $25.00.
Register online by 3/3/2023. Pre-registration check-in from 9:20 – 9:50 AM.
1/2 pt. Byes must be requested in advance. Late entries will receive 1/2 pt. bye
Tournament will run continuous after each round.
U1000 & U600 finish about 1:00 – 1:30 PM. Higher Sections Finish around 2:30-3:00 PM.
U2200 & U1500 Sections with less than 7 players may be combined. All prizes still awarded.
Scholastic sections with less than 7 players may be combined. All prizes still awarded.
Free Coffee & Hot Chocolate available on-site
