Ocean State Chess “Summer Scholastic” at Papa Gino’s (West Warwick, RI)

Format: 4SS, G/30; d5 – 4 Rounds.
Round 1 starts around 11:00 AM. Rounds will continue continuously afterward
- Event is limited to 40 Players (Must be a student, under age 18)
SECTIONS & PRIZES – Must be Scholastic Gr. K-12
* U1200 (High Level) = Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
* U900 (Intermediate Level) = Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place
* U600 (Novice Level) = Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place
* UNRATED (Unrated Fun Games) No USCF Required = Trophies for 1st, Medals for 2nd & 3rd
EF: Only $20 in advance for all advance entries, limited to 40 participants.
On-site entry day of event is $25 Cash (If room available)
Rated Sections must have USCF membership. USCF Not Required in Unrated Section.
FREE USCF MEMBERSHIP FOR 1st -TIME UNRATED TOURNAMENT PLAYERS
1st-Time New players (Unrated without USCF membership, Not Renewals) will receive a
FREE $20 USCF “Youth” Membership INCLUDED with Special $20 registration. Tournament is Free!

ADDITIONAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
* limited to 40 players, so please register as soon as possible
* Round 1 will start at 11:00 AM, will run continuously
* Most Sections will Finish around 1:00-1:30 PM, U1200 Section by 2:00-2:30 PM
* Chess sets & clocks will be provided.
* Byes must be requested in advance. Late entries paired if possible of get 1/2 point bye.
* You may arrive at 12:00 for 2nd Round, but request one 1/2 point bye for Round 1 (advance entry)
* Players can always play “up” in a higher section.
* Scholarships are available (Free Entry Fee) please email Ocean State Chess in advance with reason why
* On-site Entry Fee the Day of Event is $5 extra, $25 Cash only if tickets are not “sold out”
