TAYLOR (1924-2011) – Paul E. Taylor\, 87\, of Warwick\, served in the United States Army during World War II. He was an avid chess player and fisherman and in his retirement organized several chess clubs for both youth and seniors and was himself a Class A tournament player. He ran multiple scholastic youth tournaments\, donating the trophies and his time. The Ocean State High School League Championship Trophy is named the “TAYLOR TROPHY” in honor of his work in scholastic chess & years organizing the R.I.
