DESCRIPTION:Scholastic Tournament at Providence’s Premier High School \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation: Classical High School               770 Westminster St\, Providence\, RI 02903 \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nFormat: 4SS\, G/30; d5 – 4 Rounds: 10:00 AM\, 11:00 PM\, 12:15 PM\, 1:30 PM \n\n\n\n\nOPEN Section (USCF RATED)\n\n\n\nU1000 Section (USCF RATED)\n\n\n\nINTERMEDIATE /NOVICE Section (UNRATED)\n\n\n\n\nTrophies will be awarded to the top three players in each section. All players with 2.5 pts or more will receive medals \n\n\n\nRound 1 of Tournament will Start at 10:00 AM\, will Finish around 2:30 PM \n\n\n\n\nEntry Fee: Advance Entry is $20. On-site Day of Event Entry Fee $25.00.\n\n\n\nRegister here online by 01/06/2023. Pre-registration check-in from 9:20 – 9:55 AM.\n\n\n\nStudents can always play “up” in a higher section\n\n\n\nScholarships are available (Free Entry Fee) please email Ocean State Chess Association\n\n\n\nByes must be requested in advance. Tournament will run continuous after each round.\n\n\n\nPlease park in Rear of building (Near Tennis Courts) Look for signs. Plenty of parking available.\n\n\n\nPizza place “Nice Slice” located across the street\, Burger King & other restaurants nearby\n\n\n\nChess sets will be provided. Please bring a chess clock if you have one.\n\n\n\n\nUSCF membership required to play in “Rated” sections.
